Mary Ann joined our staff in the summer of 2017 after retiring from teaching first grade for 32 years in the Pine Bluff, Van Buren, and Springdale school districts. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She also has a Master’s Degree in Reading with an ESL Endorsement. Mary Ann was born in Ogbomosho, Nigeria when her parents were serving as missionaries there. She grew up in Arkadelphia where she learned at an early age from her parents, that serving in church was a way of life. Because of that, God has used her in children’s ministry since her teenage years. As Children’s Minister here at Friendship, she uses her experiences to lead our Children’s Ministry to provide opportunities and an environment that guide children along their journey to know and understand God’s Word, while living out their faith every day.
Mary Ann is married to David. Together, they enjoy spending time with their children, grandchildren, dogs, and going camping.
